Realizing that you will never get anything perfect or done completely, you go for an "almost" solution. Also see the 80 20 rule

Examples

We constantly settle for less than a 100% completeness. I can't imagine what would happen if an architect decided to only include 80% of the main support beams and simply call it an acceptable level of accomplishment. I wouldn't want to work in that building.

What Would Robin Williams Say?

float:left; I am amazed that companies consider having an employee satisfaction level of more than 50% as an acceptable level of accomplished. I would hate to work in a place like that.
