Those individuals that Human Resources have labeled the most important and most valuable employees in an organization. This has less to do with skills, experience and the ability to actually deliver results, but more to do with how well an individual plays the political game, brown nose leadership and is perceived to walk on water
Examples
To be an "A" Player in the organization you need to be seen as one of the best and brightest.
