A concept founded in the 1970's based on the belief that the emerging computer revolution would eliminate the need for paper in the office. In fact over the last several decades the use of paper has actually increased

Examples

The new computer systems promised that we would go paperless, sure I don't have to fill out that crazy T11 report any more, but now there are 12 NEW reports that are even worse than the T11. Ugh!
